Heroes of Might and Magic III
A PC game with great graphics, controls, mobility, and interactivity, this game has it all. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 sounds a little lame, with a title like that, however it does a very good job to do what a game is meant to do- keep my interest.
It is true that the graphics aren’t as appealing as most popular titles of the time 2003, but these graphics do not interfere with the excitement of the game. Sound is also very cool, especially because you can use your own sound files for any event or sound clip in the game!
The bulk of the game is played in multiplayer mode. Here you pick a map, one of about 40 , or one that you can make, choose allies if u wish, and the journey begins. Then you can chose one of 8 “castles” to be your base, in which you will build more buildings, some for revenue, others to grow more monsters you will use to attack other players, and stray packs in the way of your travels.
Each castle has its own set of 7 monsters to grow, all with different speeds of movement, look, size, and health points. Then, set them into groups you wish, an army per each character you have. You can buy as many characters as you want, as long as you have enough money. There are also 7 different resources that are needed for buildings, and purchasing monsters.
Upon capturing other players’ castles, you now have more sources to grow monsters, and kill others, and so on. In battles, you have complete comtrol when to attack, and from what angle, and so on.
There are also spells they can do, other special abilities, and there are so many, why should I ruin the chance for you to explore on your own?
The career play is very similar except some configurations are different, and there is a solid storyline. So go ahead and purchase this old PC game way worth your money. There are a lot of things I didn’t mention in this review for the sole purpose as to not give away too much of the game as I have accidentally done in some of my previous reviews. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is well worth your money and time.
