NDL to Launch Gamebryo at Game Developers Conference

The Next Step in the Evolution of Game Development

NDL announced it will unveil the next step in the evolution of game development, Gamebryo, at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, CA, March 4-8. Gamebryo is a cross-platform 3D graphics toolkit and engine that offers developers unparalleled flexibility with crafting cutting-edge 3D technology in their games. Gamebryo also gives developers the unique ability to leverage and extend their legacy tools in creative ways.

Gamebryo is based on NDL's popular NetImmerse technology, which has been used in a number of recent top-selling and critically acclaimed games, including: Mythic Entertainment's Dark Age of Camelot and its first expansion pack Shrouded Isles, Irrational Games' Freedom Force, and Bethesda Softworks' The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Tribunal. Other NDL customers include Firaxis UDS, Lodestone, Timegate and Codemasters.

Game developers are already excited about the potential NDL's Gamebryo holds for their future projects. "We've used NetImmerse for several projects over the last four years, and with each we have been impressed with the progress made by NDL. With our latest release, Dark Age of Camelot: Shrouded Isles, thanks to NDL GameSpot concluded that the graphics are 'easily the best we've seen in an online RPG to date'. The flexibility that is built into the Gamebryo tools, and the ability to plug it into our art pipeline, is why we plan on using it on future expansions and projects," said Rob Denton, chief technology officer at Mythic Entertainment.

The complete power and flexibility of Gamebryo will be demonstrated at the Game Developers Conference in booth # 1536.
