AGP 8x Video Cards and Motherboards
Question
Ahoy Henry,
I have heard quite a bit of bruhaha about the up and coming agp 8x and was wondering when it would be released and in video cards and motherboards as i am waiting to purchase a little Hankina to call my own. Also what would be the expected prices of said items.

Thanks big guy (hope you don't mind being anthropormorphized)
Answer
Some AGP 8x video cards and motherboards are already available, but choices are limited. By the end of the year, most or all new video cards and motherboards will support AGP 8x (or AGP 3.0).

AGP 8x should not affect prices. Expect similar prices to new AGP 4x hardware. For example, if a new AGP 4x video card were to cost $300, then a similar AGP 8x video card would also be around $300.

Wait a few months for ATI and NVIDIA to settle in with AGP 8x cards before making your purchase.
